Arklosophy® is working on Oceans Elementary® right now and YOU can join us in Saving the World with Wisdom®! Oceans Elementary® is designed to be a global (but culturally sensitive and tailored), 193-volume set of education curriculums for primary and elementary school children, instruction manuals for teachers and policy recommendations for education administrators and elected officials, which will be designed to foster a love of the oceans within children.
Simply, healthy-minded people do not destroy that which they love. And, the only way to solve the huge problems humanity faces is to get people to do the right thing because they want and/or are self-compelled to do so (intrinsic motivation) and not because they are forced via ineffectual laws or hypocritical national mandates. For example, soldiers did not storm the beaches, march defiantly against a wall of bullets and run through barbed-wire fences (resulting in massive loss of life) in Normandy, France, during World War II to protect freedom because they were told to – they did so because it was their duty and their honor (their intrinsic motivation) to do so.
Arklosophy’s Oceans Elementary® strives to create the same guiding force in children concerning ocean pollution. We, as global parents, educators and citizens should inculcate our kids to be the Noah’s of the oceans, the knights in shining armor of marine life and the Einsteins of ecosystem sustainability. This is done by guiding children (at a very young age) to understand that the protection of the world’s oceans is of great personal benefit to them and to the people whom they love. Just as children learn that touching a hot stove is not beneficial to them, so too must they realize that not being an integral part of and personally involved in repairing, protecting and conserving the world’s oceans (and all water assets) is not to their benefit either. Furthermore, once passion is created for the oceans and marine creatures through Oceans Elementary®, intrinsic motivation ensues and becomes a powerful, positive force.
Here are the general components of Oceans Elementary® (for more details, please contact Dr. Shaun Smith directly):
To make Oceans Elementary® a reality, Arklosophy, LLC needs to raise one million dollars to cover all costs for this three-year, global, endeavor. That is only $333,000 per year for salaries/payroll taxes, overhead, supplies and travel, which is unquestionably reasonable and a great value to individual, foundation and corporate funders. Arklosophy will commence Oceans Elementary® upon acquisition of 50% of the needed funds.
The person who or the organization that provides Arklosophy with the lion’s share of the funds necessary to see the voyage to its completion will be hailed as the Builder of the Ark for Oceans Elementary®. If so desired, your or your organization’s name will be spotlighted in all worldwide media communications, advertisements, public relations initiatives, research publications, etc. and in all 193 volumes of the Oceans Elementary® curriculums. Your or your organization’s name will also be listed on Arklosophy’s website as the Builder of the Ark for Oceans Elementary®. In addition to personal, real-time, updates from around the world, you or your organization’s representative will be granted an invitation to attend, be honored and speak at Arklosophy’s Annual Meeting each year on August 17th.
The person who or the organization that provides Arklosophy with its desperately needed water-based research headquarters and public relations ambassador – in the form of a sailing vessel (Arklosophy’s Ark) – will be hailed as the Admiral of the Ark. And, there will always remain a berth available to you or your organization’s representative for all voyages, worldwide, henceforth. Your or your organization’s name will be listed on Arklosophy’s website as the Admiral of the Ark. The name of the Admiral of the Ark (yours or your organization’s) will be prominently displayed on the ship and a custom-made flag with the Admiral’s name and/or logo will fly upon the ship’s entry to every port around the world. In addition to personal, real-time, updates from around the world, you or your organization’s representative will be granted an invitation to attend, be honored and speak at Arklosophy’s Annual Meeting each year on August 17th, where you or your organization’s representative will be presented with a commemorative copy of the ship’s log detailing its grand adventures and important work.
The person who or the organization that provides Arklosophy with $10,000 or more dollars will be named as a Crew Member for Oceans Elementary®. Simply, Oceans Elementary® is not about us – it’s about our children, our grandchildren and all of the children who will have to live on this planet when we are gone. If we don’t do something now – who will????
Arklosophy, LLC, was structured, and remains structured, as a for-profit company (as opposed to a non-profit corporation) for VERY GOOD REASONS.
First, please keep in mind that all organizations must make a profit. Charities and non-profit organizations that do not make a profit are ineffectual and soon to be out-of-business charities and non-profit organizations.
Second, non-profit (tax-exempt) charities, non-government organizations (NGOs) and corporations must have boards of directors. And, many, if not most, non-profit boards are plagued by incompetence, nepotism, favoritism, cronyism, corruption, cowardice, political shenanigans and subterfuge. Arklosophy, being a for-profit company, can keep ulterior-motive-driven people (e.g., the representatives and supporters of factory farms and of animal researchers) away from the helm. It would be highly advantageous financially for Arklosophy to be a non-profit corporation as it would not have to pay taxes on its revenue or charge sales tax – and it could offer a tax deduction to its funders. But, again, Arklosophy’s independence is what enables it to be a powerhouse against all who seek to do harm.
Providing funds, money, a vessel and/or supplies to Arklosophy, LLC, should not be construed as (and is not) an investment, a purchase of stock and/or ownership in Arklosophy, but simply as purchasing (1) The power to make a change in the world and purchasing (2) Well-crafted benefits for you and/or your organization as detailed in the campaigns. Also, your funds, money, vessel and/or supplies that you and/or your organization provide to Arklosophy are not tax-deductible like contributions to charities and non-profit organizations and sale tax may be required. However, your funds go much farther with Arklosophy – in fact – they go all the way around the world.
